THE CHALLENGE
Outgive Inc. is a Toronto-based company founded in 2013 that runs a portfolio of brands across eCommerce, marketing, advertising, logistics, and a sales-as-a-service platform for Amazon. I joined as a UX designer on the first remote team from the Philippines, supporting UX projects for the company’s growing businesses in Canada.
THE OPPORTUNITY
UX was brand new at Outgive, so we built it from the ground up. I was mentored by a UX manager in Canada, and I’m really grateful for her. She became my compass for understanding how our users think and behave. I was later given the chance to lead the UX team in the Philippines, which let me mentor, manage, and learn even more in the role.
THE WORK
We started by building the foundation while supporting the development teams across Outgive’s brands. The work succeeded because of our group of UX researchers and designers, who were efficient, flexible, and quick to adapt to each team’s challenges. I set up an agile design process for every task we took on, and we mentored each other and kept learning together so we could keep delivering results.

Outgive's family of brands
OUTGIVE CORPORATE WEBSITE
Outgive has a lot on its plate when it comes to UX. It started with its biggest brands, Stallion Express, Shippsy, Seller Interactive, and Beauty Boss Academy, then grew fast as the founders moved into more businesses. With so many products to build and ship, the Outgive website itself, the heart of the brand, never got its turn. That’s why I proposed a redesign: to showcase what we can do, how far the company has grown, and the culture we’re proud of. Here’s the final UI we submitted & finalized to stakeholders for the new Outgive corporate website.
HEYPIXEL
Heypixel is the multimedia agency of Outgive, and it’s where our UX team sits. We handle the design needs of Outgive’s family of brands and outside clients, from graphic design and website and app UI/UX to video editing and creative content. This project is close to our hearts because it’s our own website. The goal is simple: show our skills, our talent, and proof that we deliver great work.
MORE OUTGIVE PROJECTS
Most of my projects at Outgive were start-up websites and support solutions for Stallion Express, Seller Interactive, Show Me The Gravy, Shippsy, and Unloop. Managing UX decisions for so many businesses is a handful, so I always keep things simple for our stakeholders and clients. We ship the fastest solution first, while building the long-term one in the background so everyone benefits.
01
100% of UX projects delivered
Every project is unique, so each one needed a tailored approach. Across Outgive’s family of brands, I’m proud of how our UX team adapted and did well in very different environments. From building brand libraries to user interviews, design sprints, and project handoff, we delivered what needed to be done, no matter the challenge. We’re a results-driven, empathetic UX team that gets it done.
02
Launched and revamped websites for Outgive’s family of brands.
Whenever a brand needs design help, we’re ready to take on the challenge and deliver. Setbacks will always happen, so we explain them openly and talk them through until everyone understands. In a fast-paced place like Outgive, clear communication and agile processes are our secret ingredients for getting results.
03
Fresh, young, and Outgiving designs
Immersive scrolling, micro-interactions, fresh design takes, consistency, and delightful user journeys are what I believe I’ve shared with the team and the company. People say I don’t overdo things or animate just to make it pop. They know me for making small details noticeable and useful for everyday users.

what i learned
Leading starts with learning. Going from individual contributor to UX lead of a remote team showed me that managing a team and learning alongside them go hand in hand.
Adaptability is a skill you practice. Working across different environments and client needs at Outgive taught me to adjust without losing quality.
Be the person your team can count on for clarity. It’s the part of leading I value most, and it’s the foundation of my leadership.
What I’d Do Differently
Say no with confidence. I’m learning to push back when scope or timing doesn’t work, and to offer an alternative instead of just taking on more.
Don’t take it personally. When a stakeholder doesn’t back an idea, I’m learning to treat it as feedback on the proposal, not a verdict on my work.
